Diesel fuel and heating oil additive significantly improve the operational properties of these oil products. These additives allow not only for the production of fuel which meets modern requirements, but also for the highest level of quality at minimal cost.
This additive is intended for modification of hydrocarbon positions in fuel, thus increasing its combustion efficiency. Consequently, the amount of polymer and carbon depositions significantly decreases. Engine capacity increases considerably, fuel consumption is reduced distinctly; the amount of harmful emissions (СО, СН, NOx) in exhaust gases also decreases. Therefore, engine efficiency is improved.
Ignition improver (cetane-increasing additives)
The cetane number is one of the main indicators of diesel fuel quality. The use of cetane additives helps to improve ignition of diesel fuel and lowers the ignition delay period. As a consequence the engines starts more easily, works more quietly, smoke and noise are reduced, thus improving of the environmental performance of the exhaust gases. In addition the use of these additives at refineries leads to an increase in profitability as a result of improvements to the light catalytic cracking cycle and increase in the value of the goods.
These additives are intended to reduce the cold filter plugging point (CFPP) and pour point (PP) of diesel fuels. The polymeric (depressor) component of these additives envelops the wax crystals and prevent further growth. Dispersant maintains paraffines in a suspended state not allowing them to settle on the bottom of the storage containers. This allows for the use of treated diesel fuels in virtually any climatic conditions. This, is especially important in the off-season period.
This multi-functional additive package was developed to enhance the performance properties of diesel fuel. Use of this additive promotes effective removal of carbon deposits from nozzles, valves, and other parts of the engine. Lubricating components provide reliable protection of rubbing parts of fuel system from early wear and tear. Anti-smoke additives enhances ignition density and helps to improve combustion efficiency, reduce soot formation improve exhaust and soot filter regeneration.
Lubrication properties are the most important characteristic of diesel fuel. When sulfur content in the fuel is reduced, its lubricity features are reduced as well. The use of fuel with insufficient lubricity properties can lead to rapid wear and tear and damage to the diesel engine injection system, and eventually to failure of the vehicle. Anti-wear additives restore the lubricity properties of the fuel, some of which is lost in the process of production. These additives significantly increase the life-time of the engine as a result of compensating for the low sulfur content in the fuel and the creation of a durable lubricant film on the metal surfaces of the engine.
