Gasoline additives are used to improve the performance properties of this fuel. They remove deposits which form on parts of the engine and fuel system and improve fuel anti-knock properties.
In automobile gasoline, this additive modifies the order of hydrocarbon molecules. Thus, the fuel combustion efficiency is improved; the amount of released energy significantly increases. Consequently, the system is cleaned from depositions and scale, engine capacity increases, fuel consumption decreases drastically, and the amount of harmful emissions (СО, СН, NOx) in exhaust gases decreases.
Gasoline containing manganese compounds (CMT, MMT and their derivatives) decomposes in sunlight, leading inevitably to a loss of commodity fuel properties. The stabilizer allows the manufacturer to obtain a desired quality of gasoline and maintain effective fuel properties for 30 days or more, including active exposure to sunlight.
Gasoline performance additives (fuel detergents)
These additive packages are developed to protect against deposit formation and maintain the purity of basic elements of the fuel system and the engine. They contain anti-wear components which reduce mechanical friction the cylinders, decreasing fuel consumption and increasing engine power.
